Fusilli is a short, curved pasta shape, characterized by a spiral shape, native to Southern Italy. This shape makes them ideal for holding sauces, thanks to their coils that capture the sauce. Traditionally, they were created by rolling the dough around a rod, or spindle, hence the name. Our version is larger than the traditional one and has a distinctive, pronounced porosity on its surface (hence the name "rustic"). Along with orecchiette and other typical regional pastas, this is the shape most popular with our customers because, thanks to their versatility, fusilli are perfect for a wide range of dishes, such as those with meat or vegetable sauces, or in cold salads, always maintaining an excellent texture.
